SG Wireless automatically logs on to hotspots such as Wireless@SG.
The app will remember your hotspot provider, username and password. Each time you start SG Wireless, the app will immediately logs on to the connected hotspot! One click is all you need to get connected!
SG Wireless is similar to paid apps such as AutoWiFi, Easy Wi-Fi and devicescape. However, SG Wireless is FREE. Download it from App Store today!
Words from the developer
SG Wireless was developed to solve one problem with Wireless@SG - clumsy and slow login. I developed SG Wireless just to solve this problem, but it probably would not work for all hotspots!
I can only claim that it works in Northpoint, Yishun.
As every providers (QMax, Singtel, iCell) have different login behaviours and their depolyed hotspots could have different versions, it makes the work very difficult. If you encounter any problem, please help by emailing me where it is not working. You can also feedback at GetSatisfaction.
Work on auto login to other hotspots such as NUS is also in progress.
Get connected, and have fun (:

I was at AMK hub yesterday afternoon. Log in wireless@SG through this app. and connected successfully.
One doubt:- Instead of the logo of wifi, 3G logo still there. So how am i to ensure that i m not using GPRS to surf the net?
Thanks/ Andrew
Hi Andrew,
If you see the 3G logo and not the wifi logo, then it certainly is using GPRS. There could be no wifi if the signal is weak. To ensure your GPRS is off, go to Settings > General > Network > Cellular and remove the APN.
The current version of the app does not tell if you connected to a wifi hotspots or 3G connection. This would be improved in the next release (some time this week).
Hi Junda,
Thanks for your prompt reply.
Check APN, I din't set up yet. For your info, i'm using starhub simcard.
Thanks/ Andrew
Tried it at Changi Airport with correct username and password, the application doesn't work. But when I log indirectly through the website it works. Pls update the application. Tks.
Hi. The new version at v1.1.0 should work for Changi Airport hotspots.
But I can only claim that it works in T3 Coffee Bean!
Great app, thanks for making it!
Can you add The Cathay? It's just 2 clicks, no user/pass, but would be great to have consolidated in this one place.
I have received some requests lately:
For The Cathay, I would check out when I am near one.
For NTU, someone (eg. dear Hoe Mei Hwee) has to invite me to NTU and lend me her account to try.
For SMU, anyone please email me if you would like to help.
My email is junda@just2me.com
Hi Junda,
Is there a way to remove the settings? I keyed in my username and password, then clicked autologin and it worked. Later when I deleted my username and password and exited from the app, I was still able to surf internet using wirelessSG. I had already turned off 3G so I have no idea how come I'm able to login with blank username and password. Is this the correct behaviour of the app?
This is a correct behaviour. You have turned off 3G, but not Wifi, so the phone is still connected to Wireless@SG.
Hi Junda,
Great app! Very useful, and I was so inspired to try making some apps myself, I signed up for the SDK 3.0. All going well installed to my 3G iPhone. But now your handy app doesn't work. Are you planning a updated version? Info, advice etc greatly appreciated as I am very new to this... I usually shoot and edit movies on my Mac... but had to try something NEW and creative.
Thanks and regards,
K.

iPhone 3.0? I havent test with it but could try (on simulator). Will let you know the result.
But something to note for iPhone 3.0 - Safari will remember the login credentials so there is less need for such apps. I am going out of business :D But wait.. i didn't charge for the app in the first place!
Can't get "sg wireless" from the Canadian itunes store. Is there a separate download link? I will be travelling to Singapore next week, it might just come in handy. Thanks.
is it possible to get it from another link and not from the app store as I do not have a singapore itunes account, my account is in the UK
Hi. Quite a number of users have requested the app to be available in app stores other than Singapore.. As such, I have made SG Wireless now available to every App Store :)
Check it again. It would take about a day before it appears in the app stores.
Hey, great app there. Much less tedious trying to login now.
I realized its not working for hotspots at singapore general hospital.
Could you add that in as well?
@Mike
This has been a request long due and i have not yet make my way to SGH.. im sorry but i will promise to do it this month, and probably release in August
No problems! Appreciate your efforts.
Thanks again!
@Junda,
Your App is too good that I badly miss SG Wireless on my mac. Need a similar app for my Mac now... :( Can you make one :D :D :D???
There's a problem logging in at tampines int and tampines mall macs. Hope this can be recitified. Great app!!!
Hi Junda. I'm getting the prompt "We could not detect your wi-fi connection, but you are connected! YOur cellular data could be used instead!"
Is it because i've to go to iPhone "Settings" and turn on my Wi-Fi for the device to scan first? I'm confused. Unable to sign in @ NTU
Hi Junda,
I'm not sure if anyone has brought ur attention, but Qmax has been taken over by M1.
I am currently at the Coffee Bean store in Tiong Bahru, and iPhone keeps opening the login page. Very fustrating.
I dun mind passing you my M1 username and password for your testing purposes, but I do hope you have time to help solve this issue.
Wish u all the best,
Ryan
